Rules of the club

Every club has to have rules. For us as a club to be successful and promote professionalism here is a list of our club rules.

1. All children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The adult will be responsible for the child's equipment, i.e. Battery Chargers etc, and will also be responsible for promoting good safe club procedures for the child to abide by.

2. Children over 13 years of age must abide by club rules as follows.

3. All battery chargers other electrical equipment relating to RC models must at present be P.A.T tested electrically certified, due to the hall regulations. I can provide a company to do this and it works out at about £1 per appliance this is for a year. You will also be required until further notice (premises change) to renew the P.A.T electrical test on your appliance. A P.A.T test is a lEE electrical regulation to show that the appliance being used is safe and in good working order to make sure that it does not electrocute someone or does not cause a fire. For further
information on this contact Matt.

4. All electric chargers, batteries etc will be used correctly and safely by any person over 13 years of age and may be asked to prove this.

5. All cars, handsets must be used for the purpose that they were designed for at the club (if you want to play sword fights with the aerials on the end of your handset then do it in your own time not at the club).

6. All handset aerials (27AM) must be pointed upwards when racing as this will interfere with other cars on the track.

7. After your race you will have to take turns in marshalling the next race (being a Marshall means that anyone who crashes or gets stuck etc on the track you will put the car straight, or take off and let the driver know if the car is no longer able to drive. There will be designated Marshall Points around the track so that each member is able to see how many needed. We can't expect the driver to run across the track to sort out his/her car.

CLUB FREQUENCIES AND TRANSPONDER NUMBERS

    8. All members will know by looking at the club frequencies/transponders of what others are using so make sure they are not duplicated otherwise it will interfere with other drivers/members. A sheet with frequencies/transponders numbers will be placed for all to see at the club on each race day. The frequency/transponders numbers are also updated on the club website.

9. If the club decides to participate in other types of RC racing models enabling the member to use other types of batteries i.e. lithium polymer batteries then these batteries will need to be charged in the specialized lipo bags for safety reasons that only the experienced member would know.

10. Food and drink is allowed to be consumed at the club but it will be a responsibility of the member to put all rubbish in the bin provided at the club.

11. All members that are racing in numerous races will be responsible for making sure their car is ready when called for each race no excuse for hold ups as it will affect other members waiting.

PLEASE READ PARAGRAPH 12 BELOW VERY CAREFULLY AS A BREACH OF THIS MAY
RESULT IN AN AUTOMATIC BAN.

12. There will be NO aggressive behaviour towards other members, NO sexist remarks towards female members, NO putting members off when driving as concentration is high, NO arguing and fighting, out loud swearing, NO racial abuse, NO drinking of alcohol or anyone found to be taking drugs will NOT be tolerated as this is a
family club for men /women children etc anyone found in breach of these rules will be warned once, if the breach occurs again then will be dismissed from the club and will NO longer be a member of MBL micro racers lets keep it clean and fun for everyone.

13. Smoking is not permitted inside the hall but if you wish to have a cigarette in between races you will have to go outside. Some of us smoke we all got bad habits but we have to abide by the rules.

14. All members competing in the How Fast Are You competitions will need to have their cars checked by the clubs HFAY judge (Matt B) this is because of these competitions requirements means to make sure no one is cheating and using parts etc that they shouldn't be. If found cheating more than once, then that member will
not be allowed to enter any further How Fast Are You events with MBL Micro Racers. There are How Fast Are You car rules etc at the club for you to see what parts etc are allowed no excuses we don't like cheats.

15. Apart from all the rules above it is important for every member to have fun as this is what our club is about, friendly and witty banter is to be expected as some competitors may find it difficult to control themselves once they have won a competition as they will be allowed to have bragging rights, if you find it hard to have fun then maybe you should think twice about what you are about to take part in.

16. We have provided lots and lots of information on Mini Z's and will be provided on each race day for members to browse through, please treat the information with respect as a lot of time has been put into producing it.

17. If you have any issues you think I have missed then please let Matt know or if something is upsetting you to do with the club again please let Matt know.

18. Parents at all times will be responsible for their children and NOT the club even if the child/children are old enough to participate without a parent present.

19. If there are to be changes to the club rules above then each member will be notified and given a new copy of the club rules.

20. Etiquette on the track. This means all drivers will not go out of their way to RAM another drivers car, as the damage that can be caused to a body shell would be unfair for that member who has the damage to have to pay for a new one.

21. If a collision has happened all drivers will slow down and pass carefully until the Marshalls have dealt with the collision. All drivers are allowed to nudge from the side to gain advantage position wise.

22. On each race day all members must register their frequencies and transponder numbers they wish to use for each race and pay their £6.00 membership fee for the races they want to enter for the day, if you are only entering 2 races for example you still have to pay £6.00 as we still have to pay for the hire of the hall. All race sheets for all races of each race day will be put up for all members to see again it will be the member’s responsibility to make sure they know the race program.
