Where can I get them and buy the race tuning parts?
All of these manufacturers of after market Mini Z parts are available to be purchased from Europe/USA/Japan/China No.1 suppliers. All of the suppliers listed below all make and design there own versions of Mini Z race tuning parts i.e colours, materials and designs. But all of the parts are designed not only for effect (bling) but to enhance the performance of the Mini Z. you will find a vast amount of mini z parts with all the suppliers below consisting of motor mounts, suspension parts, rear drive train parts, chassis parts, wheels, tyres, circuit boards to name but a few as there are hundreds of parts availiable on the market today.
WHAT DO I NEED TO GET ME STARTED BEFORE I GOTO THE SUPPLIERS BELOW
The Mini Z chassis will require 4 AAA batteries and the hand set if 27am will require 8 AA batteries, if you purchase a 2.4 chassis and a 2.4 handset then you will only require 4 AAA for the chassis and 4 AAA for the handset. The batteries we use vary on capacitance and manufacturer but this will all be learnt to suit a preference as you get more established in the club.
You will need then a chassis type and handset that corresponds with that frequency, whereby everything you need to get driving is in the box.
You will need a couple of sets of rechargeable AA, AAA batteries and a charger to charge batteries inbetween races.
A few basic tools, small phillips screw driver, superglue, small set of pliers, small flat bladed screwdriver, the rest you'll learn as you go along as their are more you'll need.
A good set of suitable RCP track tyres(this can vary depending on what chassis, bodyshell type ect have a look on the bleedingedge forum to see what tyres, chassis, bodyshells, parts are working best but at the end of the day its down to you to see how your given chassis performs on the track.
You may also need a toolbox for storage of your cars, tools ect but not straight away Kyosho do their own 3 draw portable box which can be purchased at BleedingEdgeRacing.
You will also learn a few tweeks ect that can be done to the car which won't cost a penny but will improve the cars performance, or again you can learn some of this tips on the Bleeding Edge forum.
So that's basically it total cost if you were to look at buying a brand new kit to get started around about £130-150, if you bought second hand of Ebay then you would be looking at about £60-£80 depending on what chassis and what comes with the kit, but again all the parts to upgrade a second hand basic Mini Z can all be purchased from the suppliers below.
